Big news: the band collectively known as Slow Runner has somehow managed to claw its way into the final round of the Songcircle 5th Annual Songwriting Contest (formerly the New York Songwriters Circle). The competition is fierce. Past winners have included Kate Voegele, Company of Thieves, Meika Pauley and Reed Waddle.  The stakes are high! (Over $25k in cash and prizes this year.) Judging happens live at City Winery, New York, NY, on November 18th – be there to cheer them on as they brutally slay all worthy competitors. And by “brutally slay,” we mean “appreciate and become friends with.”
