We’re two weeks into the euro tour and it’s going pretty well. Sleeping on a bus isn’t too cool. Otherwise no complaints. Through luck or merit, we are adding 4 shows to the tour. I was wondering if we could add them to the tour dates and do a little news item letting folks know dates have been added. They are:

1– we have a smattering of usa shows coming up THIS MONTH: philly, nyc, boston, and charleston. what’s extra exciting is that we’ve got some super talented friends joining us for these so we can rock out triumphantly as the 5-piece band we were born to be. on the northeast shows we’ll even be joined by owen biddle on bass, longtime bass player for the roots! does this mean kaler is going to bust out one of his infamous young mc performances? doubtful, but possible. other shaggy geniuses joel t. hamilton, jack berg, and ron wiltrout will be involved at various points as well. playing with great bands every night too. see the ‘tour’ section of our webzone for all the details.

2– we’re releasing a video. it involves amazing stop-motion puppetry and frankensteinian overtones. it was directed by our buddy chris march and will debut later this month. i’m going to call it now: best slow runner video of all time. horse-head character from the ‘long division’ video, you have been served.

3– new european tour WITH UK DATES! trembling with excitement over this. once again we travel to the majestic far edges of western civilization with lumberjack troubadour william fitzsimmons. 24 shows, 10 countries, the metric system… it’s on. please help us get the word out and coerce your international friends to come see us! see dates below.

greetings, sweet patrons of the arts– we’re beyond thrilled (that’s right, BEYOND) to announce a massive spring tour supporting our upcoming release ‘damage points’. a few years ago we were lucky enough to play a bunch of shows with the amazing william fitzsimmons wherein we all rode around together and played music for nice folks, first a slow runner set, then a william set with us backing him up. it worked really well and we’ve always wanted to do it again. at long last, the moment has arrived! this one is monstrous, spanning some 18,000 miles and 46 cities across two countries (three if you count texas!). it’s the biggest tour we’ve ever done, but that works out nicely because ‘damage points’ is the best record we’ve ever made, and we want as many people to hear it as possible.

that’s where you come in. please help us spread the word. share our music with your friends, drag them to shows, annoy the guy in the cubicle next to you as you defiantly pump our jams. in court fighting assault charges? sing the judge a slow runner song and watch her heart melt. we feel really lucky to have such a tight group of amazing fans, but it would be pretty swell if more people knew we exist. i’m speaking as a (metaphorical) parent here, but ‘damage points’ is a sweet little record and deserves every chance to get out there and make it in this cold cold world. so please come out and see us on this tour, it’ll be worth it. promise.
